Kimiko Warner-Turner​ has created theatre education programs for more than thirty years. She earned her M.A. at the University Southern California in Applied Theatre Arts. She is currently working as a Program Designer and Teaching Artist (TA) in schools and with community organizations that employ a variety of Liberation Arts techniques. Institutions include: Los Angeles County High School for the Arts, USC/Forest Whitaker Foundation, Shakespeare Center for Los Angeles (SCLA), The Music Center’s Arts Partnership, and Living Deliciously through Community Building. She is a member and Mentor for Changing Ways; a post-incarceration organization for men and women.

She trained in Theatre of the Oppressed techniques with Founder, Augusto Boal, as well as with his company in Brazil and Sanjoy Gangully in India. Opportunities to create with others include: Friends Outside in Los Angeles, Urban Arts Partnership, The Simon Family Foundation, TheatreWorkers Project, and Plaza de La Raza. She has designed and facilitated workshops in Thailand, Brazil, India and throughout the Greater Los Angeles Area. Her past work experiences include: Educational Programs Manager for Center Theatre Group, Teaching Artist for ArtworxLA, and TA and Manager for Dancing Classrooms Los Angeles. Choreographer and Assistant Director for Land of Smiles tours in Thailand, Los Angeles and Scotland. Warner-Turner has worked as Choreographer for productions at Cal Tech, Sequoiah School in Pasadena and the South Pasadena Unified School District. Case Management/Facilitator for Friends Outside in LA, Associate Producer for Hungry Woman at Casa0101 Theatre. She was Production Stage Manager and Instructor for the Cal Arts Community Arts Theatre Project at Plaza de La Raza.

She has served on panels for the National Endowment for the Arts Musical Theatre Funding and Shakespeare in American Communities - NEA Arts Mid-West funding. Educational Manager at Bilingual Foundation of the Arts and Business Manager for Kaiser Permanente's Educational Theatre Program Southern California where she assisted in creating “Intersections,” a program preventing teen suicide that was produced nationally.

She served as a board member for TeAda ("Theatre " in Hawaiian Pigeon). She is an arts activist, and a proud mother of two lovely females and wife of a Middle School Math and English Teacher.
